Here is my very first post and I am very excited about sharing my creative life with you guys here in this little spot in the massive blogosphere! I figured it was time for me to jump on board the blog-wagon. I was hesitant before about starting a blog like this because there are just so many similar ones out there but I've decided that it will be good for my own personal benefit before anything else. But, if anyone else happens to stumble upon my blog, and likes it, then that's a bonus. Hopefully, I will be able to offer you something a little different as well!
I have a few friends with blogs and they have all inspired and motivated me to start my own. It will be a great outlet to share my creative interests, ideas, and the things I enjoy doing like cooking, crafting, DIY projects, repurposing, upcycling, photography, designing, and event planning.
So far, I only have a few categories up but eventually hope to add more as time goes by.
So why Simply2B? It's just Simply To Be! (and.. well, it also plays off SimplyTB Designs). Simply to be all the things you want to be whether it be a successful business person, a stay at home mom/dad, a designer, an artist, a chef, a crafter, a dreamer... the list is endless. But here, it is simply to be crafty, a foodie, creative and more... Simply to be me, and simply to be Tracey Bong.
For me, it's always been the simple, little things that stood out for me and made my heart smile. I, usually *wink*, prefer the thoughtful gifts vs the material gifts, whether it be handmade gifts, cards, baked goods, a photo collage... Even though you may not be a 'creative' person it's not that hard to find the little things to put a smile on someone's face as simple as, a scribble on a love note, or a bag of their favourite candies.
I've always been 'crafty' since I was a young girl. It all started with a little memory book I made for my best friend and continuing on to make other handmade things as birthday gifts for others.
My friends even referred me as the 'Martha' [Stewart] of the group and at the time, although I smiled and laughed it off, I really wasn't a big fan of that nick name, which would eventually, along with other contributing factors like college, university, boyfriends, etc., lead to me tucking little miss crafty away in a corner of my heart.
But recently, thanks to the likes of Pinterest and Craftgawker, my inner crafty child has been inspired and re-emerged. I am now proudly embracing my inner 'Martha' haha.. in combination with my graphic design background and so here I am joining the blogging world where I can share all creative things I do with you all.
Anyways, I hope you will find something in this little spot of the blogosphere to make your heart smile too or to help you make someone else's heart smile! I have lots to share so find a place to park and join me on my blogging adventure!
